Delegate Proposal - Sang / Fragmetric Labs

Identity and Background

Hi all, this is Sang Kim, Co-founder of Fragmetric Labs, and I’m submitting this application on behalf of our entire team.

Fragmetric is building core restaking infrastructure on Solana, and we have launched both fragSOL and fragJTO, VRTs to support the Jito (Re)staking ecosystem. Fragmetric’s mission is to build a secure, transparent, and highly efficient restaking infrastructure that empowers users and supports the stability of the Solana’s restaking ecosystem.

Has the delegate historically contributed to the Jito Network?

Yes, Fragmetric has made significant contributions to the growth and utility of the Jito ecosystem, both in terms of TVL and user adoption.

fragSOL has grown to over $155M TVL and is currently delegated across 10 Node Operators to support both the Jito TipRouter and Switchboard NCNs. Similarly, fragJTO, a staked JTO token, has reached over $8M TVL, delegated to 10 Node Operators to support the TipRouter. On the user side, fragSOL is held by 57,075 unique wallets and fragJTO by 8,192, making Fragmetric the most widely adopted user interface for Jito (Re)staking.

In addition, Fragmetric has built a custom Reward Module using Solana’s Token Extension, enabling accurate and efficient distribution of NCN rewards across complex reward streams. More details can be found here.

We have also introduced the Normalized Token Pool, a framework that brings diverse Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) into the Jito restaking ecosystem while maintaining liquidity integrity and minimizing fragmentation. Additional information is available here.

Fragmetric is not just consuming Jito infrastructure — we are actively expanding it and making it accessible across a wider set of assets, strategies, and user profiles.

Has the delegate historically been involved in protocol governance?

Yes. A while ago, I participated in Ethereum protocol governance discussions, including EIP-4337 and EIP-6900. I was engaged not only in technical debates but also contributed to the code implementation for EIP-6900, giving me first-hand experience with decentralized protocol development processes.

At Fragmetric, we believe that governance should lead to action. Once governance outcomes are finalized, our team is positioned to be one of the fastest in the ecosystem to respond and implement changes — whether it’s integrating new delegation logic, upgrading reward flows, or adapting to validator program changes. We view governance not as a passive responsibility, but as a commitment to ship what the community decides.

Is the delegate committed to helping the Jito Network and Solana succeed?

Absolutely. I have been in the Solana ecosystem since 2021 and personally staked my SOL through Jito from the very early days. Fragmetric was founded with a deep conviction in Solana’s high-performance architecture and in Jito’s pivotal role as the foundation of staking and restaking infrastructure. We are 100% committed to supporting and expanding the Jito Network, driving greater adoption, deeper integration into DeFi and validator services, and unlocking the next generation of restaking opportunities.

How should JitoSOL validator delegation balance performance (yield) versus decentralization?

The current StakeNet approach has established a solid foundation, but as the JitoSOL ecosystem scales, delegation strategy should become more intentional in balancing yield optimization with long-term network resilience.

One approach could be to adopt a tiered delegation model — for example, allocating 70% of stake to a competitive set of high-performance validators who optimize for MEV and uptime, and 30% to smaller or decentralized validators that meet minimum performance thresholds. This ensures strong aggregate yield while simultaneously improving validator diversity and Solana’s liveness guarantees under adverse conditions.

Geographic decentralization should also become a major priority as the ecosystem evolves. Latency and infrastructure gaps currently limit validator deployment in certain regions, but innovations like DoubleZero and future improvements in validator tooling could make geographic expansion much more feasible. I recommend that in the future, IP/geographic diversity be explicitly considered as part of the delegation criteria, ensuring a truly global validator landscape.

With an active and informed governance community, I believe the Steward Program and related initiatives can remain dynamic and adaptable, properly calibrating parameters at every stage of the network’s development.

What should be the priorities for JTO liquidity mining and DAO token grants?

The primary priorities should be focused on catalyzing DeFi adoption, builders, and community.

First, we need to bootstrap DeFi utility for JitoSOL and VRTs. JTO incentives can be used strategically to integrate JitoSOL and VRTs across lending markets, AMMs, and yield trading products within the Solana DeFi ecosystem.

Second, we should bring more builders into the Jito ecosystem. Token grants should be allocated to NCN developers, open-source contributors who are advancing the protocol’s capabilities. Organizing hackathons focused on NCN, MEV infrastructure, and validator tooling would also help attract valuable developer mindshare.

Third, we must strengthen the community. Funding localized Jito events across key cities worldwide would build grassroots engagement, while supporting ecosystem ambassadors and educators would help onboard the next generation of users and validators.

What are your goals for the DAO as a delegate?

As a delegate, our primary goal is to expand Jito’s staking and (re)staking ecosystem by supporting initiatives that drive broader adoption. To make those initiatives succeed, we also intend to bring the fastest possible technical support — whether through protocol development, integration assistance, or infrastructure design.

In addition, we aim to feature Fragmetric’s perspective within governance discussions to help guide the DAO toward the right long-term vision — one that balances performance, decentralization, and protocol composability across the Solana ecosystem.
