Identity and background
What is the delegate’s identity and background?
Modular Crypto is a Web3-native media, education, and ecosystem builder with a strong presence in Latin America, particularly Brazil. Our mission is to connect global protocols with local builders and communities, driving adoption, governance participation, and sustainable ecosystem growth.
In recent years, we’ve organized large scale events, designed educational programs, fostered collaborations that bring together developers, students, investors and protocols. Through these initiatives, we create meaningful connections and accelerate the integration of Web3 technologies across diverse communities.
Has the delegate historically contributed to the Jito Network?
The Modular team has an active presence in the Solana ecosystem, contributing to the growth and visibility of projects such as Jito Network. Through our biweekly program Solana State, hosted by Bonis and Kaleve, we cover the entire ecosystem, sharing updates, incentive programs, and developments from projects like Jito, reaching a qualified and engaged audience. On average, each episode attracts 500 views, with 150–200 live participants, and has accumulated more than 7,000 total views.
Beyond the podcast, our newsletter regularly reports on Solana news and Jito-related developments, keeping our community informed and engaged. Bonis and Kaleve also lead Solana initiatives within our hub, including curating the stage “Solana Beyond Memecoins” at an event with over 1,500 attendees, and actively networking with the new management of Superteam Brazil.
Our efforts have already helped increase Jito’s visibility, sharing ecosystem news and connecting the project with stakeholders in Latin America.
Has the delegate historically been involved in protocol governance?
Yes. Members of Modular Crypto have actively participated in DAO governance processes across multiple ecosystems, including Arbitrum, Scroll and Celo, where we’ve contributed as delegates, proposal reviewers, or ecosystem advocates. Our governance approach combines education, transparency and long-term ecosystem alignment, ensuring that voting decisions are not isolated but part of a broader growth strategy.
Is the delegate committed to helping the Jito Network and Solana succeed? Explain.
Absolutely. We see Jito as a critical infrastructure layer for Solana, powering both network efficiency and economic sustainability through JitoSOL staking. Our commitment is twofold:
-
Amplify adoption of JitoSOL among Latin American users and institutions by producing accessible educational content, activating communities and connecting validators with regional builders.
-
Engage strategically in governance to ensure the DAO’s decisions balance yield optimization with decentralization, reinforcing Solana’s long-term health as a performant and censorship-resistant blockchain.
Candidate views
How should JitoSOL validator delegation balance performance (yield) versus decentralization goals?
We believe the delegation strategy should adopt a dual mandate:
-
Performance-first to ensure JitoSOL remains competitive with other liquid staking solutions, maximizing yield for stakers.
-
Decentralization-aware, ensuring that delegation avoids excessive concentration in a small set of validators, supporting the long-term resilience and censorship resistance of Solana.
A balanced, data-driven approach, where a portion of stake is directed to top-performing validators while another is allocated to mid-tier, decentralization-aligned validators, will ensure both attractiveness for users and health for the network.
What should be the priorities for JTO liquidity mining and DAO token grants?
-
Liquidity mining: Focus should be on deepening JitoSOL liquidity across DeFi protocols (AMMs, lending markets, perps), making it the most accessible and widely integrated Solana LST. Incentives should target sticky liquidity and integrations that unlock new use cases, rather than mercenary yield.
-
DAO token grants: Grants should prioritize builders and researchers who expand Jito’s ecosystem utility, such as researchs, dashboards, JitoSOL DeFi integrations, validator tooling and others educational programs that drive adoption among new user bases.
What are your goals for the DAO as a delegate?
-
Increase adoption of JitoSOL in Latin America, making it the default LST in the region.
-
Promote balanced governance decisions that secure both yield competitiveness and validator decentralization.
-
Support integrations and partnerships that expand JitoSOL’s utility across Solana DeFi.
-
Ensure transparency and education, by producing governance explainers and content in Portuguese, helping globalize participation in Jito DAO beyond English-speaking communities.
