# Stake 1,500 SOL from Jito DAO Treasury to Realms Validator

I’d like to propose that Jito DAO stake **1,500 SOL** from the treasury to the **Realms validator**.

- Supports Solana’s network security

- Directly funds **Realms** , the governance platform Jito DAO uses

- Earns ~ **7.27% APY** (current)

- Staking position would be visible in the **Realms Treasury UI** for transparency

This would align Jito DAO’s treasury with the network and the public goods we rely on.

You guys should check out the directed staking [draft](https://forum.jito.network/t/draft-jip-introduce-directed-staking-to-the-jito-stake-pool/876), which may be a possible path for the Realms validator to pick up stake. The SOL in the treasury here is mostly in JitoSOL following [JIP-18](https://forum.jito.network/t/jip-18-mint-all-sol-to-jitosol/798) rather than native SOL and I think the stake pool is the right place to do this kind of action rather than direct from treasury, which would actually compete with the stake pool scope.
